Seven children from the village of Gjoa Haven in arctic Canada have for several years saved money to go to Norway! They want to learn more about Roald Amundsen, see his ship Gjøa - the first to sail through the Northwest Passage – and to show their own Inuit culture to the people of Norway.

Now you have the opportunity to learn more about Roald Amundsen's stay in Gjøa Haven and the people he lived with from 1903 to 1905. You will see pictures and learn about Roald Amundsen's expedition through the Northwest Passage, while the Inuit will present traditional songs and drum dance and exciting tales and legends. An artist will create sculptures in soapstone brought from the Nunavut district.
