NEW BOOKS
14 diaries from the crew of Roald Amundsen's South Pole expedition 1910-12 have now been made available. These diaries have never been published before.
The diaries of the following crew members are now available in Norwegian:
Kristian Prestrud, Hjalmar Fredrik Gjertsen, Hjalmar Johansen, Olav Bjaaland, Sverre Hassel, Helmer Hanssen, Oscar Wisting, Jørgen Stubberud, Thorvald Nilsen, Kristian Martin Ronne, Ludvig Hansen, Alexander Kutschin, Adolf Schroer and Christian Doxrud.
The books can be purchased in our museum shop.
English translations will be available shortly, and we expect that these will be in the museum shop in spring 2012.
